Amane Kirigakure
"The sound of rain hidden in the mist."An armed figure oft seen idling by notice boards located in the major cities or in the makeshift havens of inns & taverns - either in recovery or reveling carelessly.
Appearance
Pride marks the tall Au Ra's stance by holding her chin high and leveling her shoulders; complacency broadening an ever-present smirk. Purple irises ringed with crystalline blue are framed by sharp thin brows, a gaze masked as deceptive warmth with underlying scrutiny; pupils cracked, on the verge of serpentine likeness. A woman composed of varying shades of purple, tanned skin is partially marred at the lower lip with a jagged cut that drags to the chin. A set of burns mark a portion of her neck. Scales conceal much of her face; thick horns protruding from a lengthy purple mass, sharp and angled downward in their growth. Four smaller horns can sometimes be seen sprouting from the top of her head, otherwise veiled by strands of hair or by fabric.A physique wrought by agility, honed by years of training. Splayed over her hands are numerous callouses and minor scars, exaggerated by damaged scales.Amane's attire is mostly comprised of a black hood and leather garb, sometimes favouring plated segments for added protection. Few items will ever be permanently seen: a belt tightly wound over her waist, safeguarding daggers, a satchel and a sheathed blade.
Personality
Easily described as an insufferably smug monster hunter hailing from the Far East at a glance, Amane offers little else to be seen and even less to be discussed among tavern patrons. With her tendency to stick so close to the bartender, what is discussed between them is kept in hushed whispers.
Inns & Taverns - A constant patron of lesser known and/or rowdy establishments, Amane can often be found close to the bartender or inciting the first embers of a brawl. Not that she would admit to it.
Contracts - Where there's a contract or notice regarding large creatures, Amane seems to be close by in some capacity. Whether investigating alongside a trusted chocobo or already engaged in some degree of combat, seldom does she stray far.
Kugane - Prior to her departure for Eorzea, the Au Ra woman could constantly be seen within the premises. Nothing of her appearance has changed since, and when the opportunity rises, she tends to return for some time.
Red Coral Necklace - If close enough, or by happenstance, glints of red can be seen around her scarred neck - though mostly hidden by cloth.
Odd Company - An enigmatic woman who keeps stranger company at her side regardless of the city, different races ranging from Elezen to Viera can be seen exchanging distinct letters with the witchblade.
Crow - Recent days have seen the woman with a crow, often occupying a spot upon her shoulder with a soulless gaze. Some might consider it an omen but most will consider the bird a great nuisance, given its penchant to inspect others and its attempts to thieve shiny objects if seen.
Bandages - Ever are the witchblade's hands bound and those of keener sense, or again, by happenstance, might find something beneath the layers of fabric.
